WHY I GAVE
“I can’t think of a gift I could give that would impact more than this, in the arts and for young people. I think there will be a whole generation–and generations to come–that will feed the arts in our community.”
– Pleasant Rowland
WHY I GAVE
Music and theater have always been very important to our family, including CTM and Madison Youth Choirs, and we want to be sure that all young people have the opportunity to develop their talents and their appreciation of the arts. We’re excited to think that the Madison Youth Arts Center will bring kids from all backgrounds together as CTM, MYC and an amazing array of other arts organizations are gathered under one roof. With the visual arts, theater, writing, music and dance intermingling in this beautiful new space, we are confident that the creativity of Madison’s young people will grow and bloom in ways that we can’t even imagine.
– Orange Schroeder
WHY I GAVE
We’re blessed to live in an area filled with thriving arts organizations, particularly those aimed at fostering creativity in the next generation. My daughter is thrilled about the new center being built just blocks away from our home downtown, primarily for her and other kids in Dane County. I also could not be prouder to call Madison home! A community willing to invest in an educational and performance space designed for OUR children to cultivate and showcase their artistic pursuits now—and for years to come.
– Rachel Werner
WHY I GAVE
“Youth arts groups have been searching for a place to call home for decades, wandering from rental halls, to warehouse facilities, to abandoned office spaces. This is a dream come true! It will enhance diverse opportunities for young people to come together to share their talents, skills, and imagination through the arts. What an extraordinary gift!”
